Many people who start out as an affiliate or network marketer struggle because of the time it takes to get to the point of making a decent income.
Eric Worre the legendary Network Marketer says to become a professional network marketer and build a decent downline, it takes at least 5 years.
There are also other expenses to consider if you are starting out as a network marketer, such as the cost to throw parties and costs to travel to attend meetings.
And Affiliate marketers struggle because the commissions involved are usually very low.
Amazon’s starting rate is just 4% and products they offer are mostly low price, so you have to be very skilled to make a full time living as an Amazon Affiliate.
Saying that, I am a member of the Amazon Associates Affiliate program, but it’s only a side income.
But in this post I want to talk about high ticket affiliate programs, also known as top tier programs, and why you need to be promoting them – like I do.
what is high ticket affiliate marketing
The best way to describe what high ticket affiliate marketing is to first look at the structure of one.
The prices here are for illustration purposes only
Front end product $1 to $47
Middle tier1 $500
Middle tier2 $2000
Top tier1 $10,000
Top tier2 $20,000
So in this example we have 5 levels (tiers)
Each layer involves more coaching and training to the customer. The ones at the top can be workshops in exotic locations around the world.
As you can see from the numbers, it’s a high dollar affiliate program and it’s your job to make these dollars by introducing somebody to the Front end product in the hope they will purchase it and some or all of the other tiers.
The top tier affiliate program itself is a well-oiled machine to encourage the prospect to move further up the tiers.
So why have high ticket affiliate programs come about?
They solve a few problem marketers have.
As I’ve already said, it can be difficult to make decent commissions in affiliate marketing. But here’s the kicker. If you’re using paid traffic, it can cost a lot of money to find a customer.
But with big ticket affiliate programs, as long as you are targeting the right people, that’s no longer a problem. Because you can now pay $60 to acquire a person to purchase a front end product because you know you will make money on the back end (as they purchase the upper tiers) to recoup your expenses and make a big profit.
When you do this right, you can spend thousands on traffic and make huge money on commissions.
Now let’s compare this to traditional affiliate marketing
If you want to promote a $100 product or course, you might receive 40% for your efforts upon a sale.
If you now take into account, the fact that sales pages’ convert at about 1 to 3%, you are going to have to drive a lot of traffic to make some good money.
But the problem is. You are giving the program owner all these buyers who he or she can sell more products to, without you getting another penny, even if they have high ticket back end products.
So you spent all that time and energy to make $40.
Here’s another fact to illustrate why affiliates get a bad deal in traditional systems.
It’s a well-known fact in marketing if someone has purchased once, they are going to purchase again. Think skin care products. Someone will want to buy a new tube when the first one runs out.
That’s why there are so many affiliate programs out there to heard all these people into buying an initial product so they can sell them the second and the third and the fourth so they can keep al he profits for themselves.
High ticket affiliate programs are a community
When you join a program like the one I’m involved in, you are no longer just an affiliate trying to battle it out on your own, you become a partner.
So you get a percentage of all the backend sales – cool eh?
There are Facebook groups where you can bounce ideas off other like minded people.
They have daily sessions and phone ins where you are inspired from leaders in the industry.
How to find high paying affiliate programs 2017 and beyond
I promote a high ticket affiliate program called My Online Business Education or MOBE. It is a 21 Step system which I have already reviewed here.
You get your own coach to guide you through the steps, and there is a whole section on traffic driving strategies.
I hope this review of high ticket affiliate programs has whetted your appetite to how much money you can make online with these programs.
I believe that these big ticket affiliate programs are the future of affiliate marketing which is why I now focus all my efforts into them.
