So how do you go about networking at these MLM offline events?
People love foremost to talk about themselves and what they’re up to
So ask leading questions like “My name is Jeremy and I’m a network marketing specialist, what business are you in?
Saying this, they know a little about you, so when they reply, they will tell you about their struggles or /and successes in a way that will have meaning to you. Listen carefully to what they say and think about how you can help them.
At this point, don’t mention what business opportunity you’re in, as it will throw their guard up and they will think you are going to try and sell to them. Instead focus on getting to know them so you can help them and the challenges they face in their business.
Get a Business Card Made
Now these type of events are all about the follow up, so make sure you exchange business cards and follow up with them the next day. Most people don’t bother with this, so you will set yourself apart from the crowd.
You can say something like this “Hey Dave, it was great meeting you last night, would you like to catch up for a coffee sometime?”
You might not be able to help each other at this point, but thy might have a friend who is closely aligned with what you’re doing.
Depending on how large the event is, you might want to be selective of who you talk to.
