Are you wondering what are mlm genealogy leads and lists and if you should by using them?
When I first came across this term, I thought it was about prospecting a leads Grandparents or something!
Let’s first start with what mlm genealogy leads are
They are lists of people who at some point have expressed an interest in being part of a certain mlm company.
It is a fact that there are a lot of mlm companies that collapse, and when they do, one of the most valuable assets is the list of people who expressed an interest.
They could be a person who was a distributor or someone who signed up at some point for more information.
What happens is these lists are often sold on to people like you and me who want to build up their network marketing company.
What are the pro and cons of buying mlm genealogy leads / lists?
As you’ll be aware, mlm network marketing isn’t always portrayed in a good light. The good thing about people on this list is that they will have gotten over the bump that says network marketing is a scam and would possibly be receptive about being introduced to a new network marketing opportunity such as yours.
There are going to be people on this list who have already succeeded in network marketing and who are happy with their current company, so they are not generally going to be interested in anything new from you.
There are going to be people who were scarred by the whole experience of network marketing and they are not going to be interested either.
You could get yourself in hot water fast if you’re not careful. If you are going to buy one of these lists, first make sure that the people you call are not on the national do not call registry.
Network Marketing is primarily about build business relationships.
What if you managed to recruit someone who was on a high level in a rival network marketing company? That could make a lot of people upset in his or her downline.
If you look online, there are quite a few companies that claim to sell fresh genealogy leads. How do you know if they are fresh?
These people would be prospects on a mlm genealogy list
They made some money in the company before it collapsed so they are interested in what you might have.
Those who know what network marketing is and feel like they didn’t put in enough effort the first time, and could be open to giving it another shot.
Why I don’t buy genealogy leads
There are people who have done very well following up genealogy leads, but it’s not something I have done or ever wish to do.
I am in this business for the long haul and consider genealogy leads as short cuts and thwart with danger.
For me, I favor the following three approaches which build up you and your brand.
- Building a blog like this one where you can brand yourself publish useful articles to your niche, create a community and make sales.
- Social media prospecting especially through Facebook. Please note that this should be done properly.
- Getting out into the real world by attending events and meeting people. Again this should be done properly as I explain here.
I hope this article has helped answer your questions or concerns regarding mlm genealogy lists.
